Wedding Planning Checklist

Planning out an Indian wedding is a stressful task, especially when it is a multi-day affair. But you can definitely ease the stress by preparing a systematic Weddingplanning checklist. You might have dealt with some of the hardest decisions for your wedding i.e. arranging the venue, caterer, guest list etc. Months of planning is required to execute a wedding fruitfully. Wedding checklist will help to ease your stress.

Pre planning tasks: 12-9 Months before wedding:

v  This is the time to work out your budget for the wedding. Determine the amount of money you’ve to spend, considering the contributions from your family and your own.

v  The next step is to confirm the date of the wedding and the venue. Decide the locations to conduct the ceremony and reception in advance.

v  Bookings have to be done in advance: Venue, Catering, Decorator etc.

v  Keep a written copy of all the booking for avoiding last minute hurry burry.

Four Months Before:

v  Wedding invitations cards can be ordered according to your preference.

v  Take time to meet the caterers in person. If your wedding venue doesn’t support catering make necessary arrangements for the same.

v  Time to book Musicians, Photographers, Videographers, Beautician and Hair stylist.

v  Accommodation for guests should also be planned and booked this month.

v  Contact the Priest or Master of ceremony as per wedding

v  Plan a wedding theme.

Two Months Before:

v  Finalize the menu and Decoration theme

v  Filled an application for registering the marriage in the registry office.

v  Shopping for wedding gifts.

v  Send invitations to all the guests along with a route map to help them in finding the venue.

v  Book Transportation Vehicles if necessary.

v  Send your event schedule to the vendors for organizing the event systematically.

v  You can also book you Honeymoon packages during this period.

               

One Month before the wedding:

v  Get in touch with all your vendors

v  Confirm final guest list.

v  Book security personals

v  Get your hair cut and colored, if desired.

v  Finalize shopping for wedding day.

v  Plan wedding hall layout and seating arrangements with your venue manager.

One week before the wedding

v  Reconfirm arrival times with vendors.

v  Arrange small wedding tasks for family, friends and guests.

v  Make sure that you pick up your dress on time or make necessary arrangements for the same.

v  Disclose the timeline of events for your wedding to your friends and family.

v  Confirm that the booked photographer will be available for your big day and suggest some moments of love that you want to capture.

v  Get a spa and final beauty treatment

On the wedding day

v  Confirm timely execution of all the events without any interruptions.

v  Make sure that guests do not face any difficulties throughout the event.

v  Make sure that everything is running smoothly and in case of a mishap or any problem contact the event manager immediately.

v  Make necessary arrangements to switch on generators during a power failure.

v  Finally, handle the entire security of the wedding with utmost care.
